How can I make a booking?
Should you be unable to secure a reservation using the online system, we recommend that you send an email () with your preferred date, time, number of guests and a mobile number (including the country code), as well as an email address and any other helpful information (such as allergies or vegetarian preferences). We’d be happy to check whether we can find some way to accommodate you. Of course, you can also give us a call: +49 30 259 4061 – 0. We’re available Tuesdays to Saturdays from 3pm. (Except on our days off – that’s when we read books, watch movies or dance at Berghain.).
We request a mobile telephone number, in case we need to reach you. Please remember to include the full country code and number (such as: +49 (170) 12345678). Many people make their reservations at our eatery far, far in advance. We send you a reminder mail, with the request to reconfirm the booking — typically 2-4 days in advance of your reservation.
What should I be aware of?
There is no separation between the dining room and the kitchen at Nobelhart & Schmutzig. You’ll be sitting in comfortable seats at a long counter or at the big table placed right at the heart of the action.
We’ll serve you our six-course prix fix menu which costs € 115.00 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and € 130.00 on Friday, Saturday as well as the evening before bank holidays including 19 % VAT.) This includes Brita-filtered water (sparkling and still). We do not serve à la carte.
We invite you to share with us in advance any allergies, dietary restrictions or vegetarian preferences. Please note that we don’t serve a strictly vegan menu. Here’s why.

If you come early (before 7 o’clock) you’ll have your table for two hours and fifteen minutes for sure. That is because in some cases there might be a second seating, which is unfortunately necessary for us to be able to cover costs. As a matter of courtesy to your fellow guests we would kindly ask you not to wear intense perfumes or eau de toilette. Just come freshly showered and your neighbour will be grateful! Of course, you’re welcome to bring your pooch if you let us know in advance.

No charges will be applied if you show up for your reservation or cancel within the specified deadlines:
1 to 4 persons up to 24 hours before the reservation
4 and 6 persons up to 48 hours before the reservation
7 and 8 persons up to 72 hours before the reservation

What about the photo and video ban?
Today’s greatest luxuries are time and the ability to savour true craftsmanship undisturbed.That is why we have decided to ban photos and videos inside the restaurant. You may have heard of photo bans in the context of Berlin’s 90s club culture and, indeed, that’s where we got the idea. Back then, photo bans weren’t considered a restriction but a kind of freedom: the freedom to escape the world “out there,” to celebrate and enjoy yourself with no thought to consequence. Today more so than in those days, cameras are omnipresent; our every step is potentially captured somewhere. Not allowing photos or videos inside the restaurant is our attempt to create space and opportunity for everyone to enjoy their time with us in private.
Can I come just for drinks?
You’re looking to get soused on excellent wine but aren’t in the market for a 6 course supper? That’s just as well: just drop after 9:45 p.m. and pick your poison from our drinks menu. Here’s what you need to know about the tipsy late hour at Nobelhart.
How do I make a booking for a larger group?
We can seat up to 28 guests at the bar around the kitchen. There are another 15 seats at the big table in the back.
Our online booking system Formitable allows you to make bookings for up to 8 guests. If you’d like to make a booking for more than 8 people, please send an email to Juliane Winkler .
Booking guidelines for bigger groups (from 9 people) for the entire evening:
We serve a seven course meal (one more course) including water. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday our supper costs € 160.00; Friday, Saturday and before public holidays we charge € 175.00. In addition to this, there is a minimum spend of € 65.00 per person for drinks. All these prices are inclusive 19% VAT.
For groups of 9 or more we expect a deposit amounting to the minimum spend for all guests. Please note that it is common to leave a tip of 6% of the final amount of your invoice. This is not included in your minimum spend and will be billed to you after the event.
Cancellation guidelines for bigger groups (9 people and up)
If you cancel your reservation up to 60 days before the event date, we will refund the full amount. If you cancel up to 30 days before the event date, we will refund 50% of the minimum paid amount. If you cancel the event up to 14 days before, we will refund 25% of the minimum paid amount. And if you have to cancel the event less than 14 days before the event date, there will be NO refund. If we’re able to find new takers for your seats, we will reimburse you. However, we do reserve the right to charge an administration fee of € 10.00.
Can I book the entire restaurant?
We are available for exclusive bookings for up to 43 people. We can seat 28 guests around the bar and 15 guests at the large table. You’ve got the entire restaurant and the entire evening too!
To set up your exclusive booking, we recommend putting in your request at least 60 days in advance as our reservation window is a rolling 60 days.
Should you book the entire restaurant exclusively, we require a minimum spend regardless of the number of people you wish to come with Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
