Königsberger Klopse – Tuesday till Thursday in March
Our version, says Micha, is all about memory and tradition. For our meatballs, we’ll be using shoulder and leg of calf from Erdhof Seewalde, of course, but beyond that, we’re allowing ourselves a small exception to our usually strict “vocally local” doctrine through the inclusion of Luxeapers Capucines capers. (We did experiment with pickled Brandenburg blossoms, but it just wasn’t the same.) As our goal is to capture the emotional core of the dish, we’re not going to make any changes for the sake of doing so. We’re cooking up the real, authentic version – except with better produce.
Our Königsberger Klopse come with our legendary smoked mashed potatoes. We’d hate for you to go home hungry or otherwise unsatisfied, so be sure to have a look at our current menu to see what else you might like to have alongside your Königsberger Klopse (Please note that our menu might change daily.)
